Where is My Bacon!!

What? Bacon and red meat cause cancer? Just hold that thought!

You may have seen the news coming out yesterday or today that eating bacon and red meat cause cancer. If that scared you, here is an article  shared by a NZ anti-sugar advocate and written by  that is worthy of your time in reading (it is short and she wrote it today specifically in reaction to the news).

My comment to this new cancer discovery is this: Many journal articles miss the importance of (or skilled use of) statistics! I can say that the sales of red cars increased by 10% but unless I say what I compare it with or what year or what model or what country or what on earth, does it have any meaning? Statistics must be looked at in the context of which it was calculated.

I used to reject academic journal articles as a reviewer all the time for mistakes like this but they still always got published because the other 2 reviewers (they usually ask 3 and 2 must agree) had no clue what statistics meant and how to analyze the results. Our society and in fact all societies on this planet are dragged left and right by information that is based on silly and totally incorrect science.

I refuse to be a puppet for clueless scientists even if the WHO (World Health Organization) follows the badly computed analysis! It just makes the WHO as clueless as the rest!

So bacon and red meat? You bet!

Loving every moment of my life and while smoking will kill me, bacon? Not a chance!

Your comments are welcome, as always.

About Angela A Stanton, Ph.D.

Angela A Stanton, PhD, is a Neuroeconomist focusing on chronic pain--migraine in particular--physiology, electrolyte homeostasis, nutrition, and genetics. She lives in Southern California. Her current research is focused on migraine cause, prevention, and treatment without the use of medicine. As a forever migraineur from childhood, her discovery was helped by experimenting on herself. She found the cause of migraine to be at the ionic level, associated with disruption of the electrolyte homeostasis, resulting from genetic variations of all voltage dependent channels, gates, and pumps (chanelopathy) that modulate electrolyte mineral density and voltage in the brain. In addition, insulin and glucose transporters, and several other variants, such as MTHFR variants of B vitamin methylation process and many others are different in the case of a migraineur from the general population. Migraineurs are glucose sensitive (carbohydrate intolerant) and should avoid eating carbs as much as possible. She is working on her hypothesis that migraine is a metabolic disease. As a result of the success of the first edition of her book and her helping over 5000 migraineurs successfully prevent their migraines world wide, all ages and both genders, and all types of migraines, she published the 2nd (extended) edition of her migraine book "Fighting The Migraine Epidemic: Complete Guide: How To Treat & Prevent Migraines Without Medications". The 2nd edition is the “holy grail” of migraine cause, development, and prevention, incorporating all there is to know. It includes a long section for medical and research professionals. The book is full of academic citations (over 800) to authenticate the statements she makes to make it easy to follow up by those interested and to spark further research interest. It is a "Complete Guide", published on September 29, 2017. Dr. Stanton received her BSc at UCLA in Mathematics, MBA at UCR, MS in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University, PhD in Economics with dissertation in neuroscience (culminating in Neuroeconomics) at Claremont Graduate University, fMRI certification at Harvard University Medical School at the Martinos Center for Neuroimaging for experimenting with neurotransmitters on human volunteers, certification in LCHF/ketogenic diet from NN (Nutrition Network), certification in physiology (UPEN via Coursea), Nutrition (Harvard Shool of Public Health) and functional medicine studies. Dr. Stanton is an avid sports fan, currently power weight lifting and kickboxing. For relaxation (yeah.. about a half minute each day), she paints and photographs and loves to spend time with her family of husband of 45 years, 2 sons and their wives, and 2 granddaughters. Just finished reading Sarah Zhang’s article, and I loved it. Seems my way of eating and drinking is the best: A little bit of everything I like, but no sugar. Well….um…..a tiny scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream larded with pecans and raisins I dare to devour at times 😛

I see you lost your hat. Great picture! I simply had to save it on one of my HD’s. I mean the full version of it, eh? 🙂

    • lol Roald. This is the full version–this is just a stupid cell phone shot I took and the flash went off because just a moment before I dropped the whole phone into the sink… so this actually was a test shot to see if it works and I liked the flare. 😉 The hat is still my property but hey.. here I actually had my hair combed nice (not that easy with red curls) and had some mascara on! Special day!! 41 years of marriage… I can hardly believe! Same man.. Amazing. I still love him.

Don’t even try to tempt me we sweets! I no longer even have sugar at home. I also stopped all grains and lots of things are changing!! My eye color is returning to what it used to be (amber); my cataract is gone (yay! it reversed), and my asthma is almost gone. So are a few inches from my waist. 😉 I also have so much energy that I started Zumba.. yeah.. my old age.. I am Zuma-ing my head off every day (at home). Lovign life with no sugar and no grains but lots of bacon and all the bad stuff for ya like butter, whole milk, heavy whipping cream with no sweeteners whipped into my coffee… yum! All the good stuff and lots of fat… and I am losing inches. Now isn’t life just amazing?

I also started another webpage that is now full of testimonials about my migraine protocol! http://stantonmigraineprotocol.com/testimonials/ apparently my protocol also brings blood pressure under control and because I don’t permit any sweeteners, and many also quit grains, diabetes is going to be a goner too! 🙂 On the other hand it made me very busy with new clients and a forever growing FB group and not enough hours in a day to finish the 2nd edition of my book that is selling like cupcakes. That is why you don’t see me much elsewhere anymore in the groups. ❤
